The pediatric imaging bundle is made up of KCS Imaging Foundations and Pediatric imaging courses. The bundled program comprises over 14 hours of distance learning and is supported by a downloadable 350-page handout to keep as a reference. A continuous intake allows you to begin the program at any time and work at your own pace over a 20-week access period. Program extensions may be available on request.
1. Diagnostic Imaging Foundations
This distance-learning program has been developed to deliver a clear understanding of the fundamentals of diagnostic imaging. Participants will appreciate the benefits and limitations of conventional radiographs and advanced imaging. Physiotherapy practice integration of imaging is emphasized.
2. Pediatric diagnostic imaging
The program covers; the fundamentals of imaging in this population, fractures, extremities, spine, the limping child, central nervous system cardiorespiratory and child abuse imaging findings. A strong focus is on the appropriate utilization of diagnostic imaging in children with both Canadian and American appropriateness criteria presented. These guidelines and extensive resources may be kept for future reference.
