Course Objectives:
Upon completing the MSK Imaging Essentials course participants will:
1. Gain the necessary skills, knowledge and competencies to apply to roster with their regulatory college for the controlled act of ordering diagnostic X-ray and ultrasound if permitted.
2. Understand the key foundational concepts of diagnostic X-ray and ultrasound imaging
3. Understand the risks of subjecting patients to radiological studies
4. Understand the common radiological and ultrasound evaluations of the musculoskeletal system
5. Understand the clinical indications, contraindications and limitations of diagnostic Be able to integrate diagnostic x-ray and ultrasound into clinical practice
Pre-Requisites:
This course is open to all Physiotherapists practicing in all areas of the healthcare system. Participants do not require prior experience in ordering medical imaging. As all program content is delivered online, reliable access to Internet services should be secured.

This is a distance-learning program that is delivered fully online. No travel is required.
This online program has continuous intake and may begin at any time. The program is delivered in 22 units with downloadable handouts to keep as reference. Work at your own pace, in your own place. A mentored group case study discussion is provided.
The investment is one payment of $450.00 plus applicable taxes. Discounts are available to members of the Ontario Physiotherapy Association
The enrolment is continuous. You can start at any time. You do not need to wait for the next cohort intake.
The program is self-paced. Once you enroll you have access to the full program for a full 30 weeks. Extensions can be provided on a valid as-needed basis on request.
