Falls are a leading cause of death and disability in Canada. While no drug directly causes falls, one of the primary factors contributing to falls particularly in seniors are the adverse effects of medications.
With an aging population and increasing use of over the counter and prescription medications in the senior population, Physiotherapists need to appreciate the ramifications of the medications their patients are taking.
