Are you just starting out in the field of vestibular therapy? Or, maybe you have been treating BPPV for years, but still second guess yourself when treating the lateral canal, or maybe you are not sure what options there are to treat the anterior canal.
Our goal with this course is that you will no longer need to:
- Perform a Google search hoping for answers.
- Try to figure out where that info was in the course manual you took a couple of years ago.
- Look for the next course to help you manage the more challenging types of BPPV.
- Have to wait for a colleague to get help.
- Or, have to refer to another clinician altogether.
With this online course let’s change that.
Module 1: Background Info on BPPV
After taking this module you will have a clear picture of how common BPPV is, the anatomy/physiology of the vestibular system relating to BPPV, and the theories behind what BPPV is.
Highlights:
- To the point literature review regarding the prevalence and impact of BPPV on individuals and their community.
- Great educational resources such as “Cheat Sheets” and the latest clinical practice guidelines.
- Quiz to help reinforce the material reviewed. Don’t worry you will ace it.
Note: References and slide handouts will be provided in each lesson as a PDF download.
Module 2: BPPV Assessment
In this module we review effective techniques to assess for BPPV affecting all three semicircular canals in each ear.
Highlights:
- Multiple “Cheat Sheet” PDF downloads that will be a quick reference for you during your busy day.
- Multiple downloadable “How To” videos along with videos demonstrating what happens anatomically with the assessment techniques.
- Introduction in how to analyze nystagmus.
- PDF downloads of Functional Outcome Measures specific to dizziness and unsteadiness.
- Video and audio downloads of each lesson.
Module 3: BPPV Treatment
